Google: Holiday Shopping Planning Tips

Posted: November 3rd, 2010   |   Category: Blog | Reporting | Strategy

It’s not even 48 hours after Halloween, and Google has donned the white and red a little early and is doing its best to encourage planners and media buyers to get their act together before the holiday season runs out.

Their latest sales effort called “Think Holiday” includes a massive push to get people thinking about holiday search trends and they’ve even created a custom retail Twitter feed that people can follow, presumably to get inspiration for ways to connect with audiences over the next 52 days until Christmas.

We see ourselves diving into some of the research provided here, here and here (warning:  PDFs).

Of course, as planners, we’ve already seen the holiday rush accumulate months ago, as we’ve been helping clients and advertisers do their own version of holiday shopping:  media buying!

All the best,
